FLOW- 89 cfs. Weather
The heat wave we’ve been in for the past few weeks has completely dried out the road and meadow. The flow has returned to normal and the water has cleared significantly. Most of the big bows have returned to the lake and the fishing has slowed.
The insect activity has increased and I think the weird weather has kicked off a few hatches early, we’re already seeing significant Trico activity and the Grannom Caddis have shown up! Resident fish are looking up and taking shots at fluttering Sallies from 11am-1pm. While not large the resident fish are very keyed into what is hatching and can be very selective providing very fun dry fly fishing.
We should start seeing more stockers being put in and the cutthroats showing up as we get closer to the season opener.
